Sims 4 CC Spongebob Holiday Set
An integral part of the holidays for me is the Spongebob holiday specials. I'll be honest, I watch them over and over from the day after Thanksgiving until the New Year. I've been watching him since he first came out in '99, so he is a regular fixture in my life in general. :)
So, to commemorate my personal tradition, I have made a Spongebob holiday themed pj set plus a dvd clutter stack! Yay! :D
**A bit of a story here. Scroll all the way down to the bottom if you just want the download link!**
The pj set consists of a top in three color swatches(red, green, white), pants in two swatches(red, green), one santa hat, and a pair of slippers. Everything is base game *except* the Santa hat. You will need seasons to use that. The dvd stack is a copy of Spongebob's holiday special from 2012 plus a large book. I like to set it next to the tv and play the kid's channel for my sims and pretend they are actually watching Spongebob. LOL. ;) The clutter is also base game compatible.
Interesting story for the "photo shoot" for this set. I used Kristina and Holly Kringle(the same family from the lightning strike post). They're the holiday twins, so I thought they would be perfect to showcase this set for me.
I thought it would be cute if they were decorating the tree in their living room basement for the screenshots. Holly was up for it right away, but Kristina was still a bit cranky. Understandable, considering just a couple days ago she was struck by lightning multiple times. To lure her into the decorating, Holly started singing Fwingle Zibbs. It worked like a charm! Kristina loves to sing so she started belting out the chorus right away. Before she knew it, she was helping her sis decorate the beautiful spruce they had chopped down that morning.
They strung popcorn and cranberries, hung glistening ornaments of red and gold...
Added a beautiful shining star to the top...
But, as soon as Holly decides to turn the lights on, something terrible and unexpected happens.
The tree caught on fire!!!
But...how?
Well, right before Holly turned on the lights, Kristina had went over and turned the thermostat up. Both her and Holly had moodlets indicating they were chilly, so I just wanted to make sure they were comfortable. Not sure if the heat actually dried the tree out that fast, or maybe Holly short circuited the Christmas lights for it. Either way, I had no idea the tree could catch fire. This has never happened to any of my other sims before! I really think this household is just super unlucky. The nicest family I play too. :P
So there they are, standing outside panicking, as the neighborhood obliviously carries on.
This is the outside of their shared home. I named it "Alpine Outlook". They added a basement just recently(it's within the huge hill) for more space. This is one of my favorite builds, and the first one I did with the new terrain tools when they came out! :)
Holly is pretty upset that the start of their holiday decorating did not go so well. :/
Back to the basement to clean up the mess.
Finally feeling safe, Kristina heads back to basement to help clean up. Here she is hauling out the ashes of their fallen holiday tribute.
Wanting to repair the damage this day has caused, Holly stares at the festive wreath hanging over the tv. Aha! She gets an idea that might just fix this dilemma.
She remembers finding some old ornaments earlier in the day that went to their childhood tree. That made her realize they still had it tucked away. Maybe the kitschy commercial plastic tree wasn't as fancy as the fresh pine they had. But, it was full of memories, and most importantly, flame retardant.
"This looks great! Hey sis, come here!"
"Oh wow! I didn't know we still had this old thing.."
"Good job, sis. You really did save the day."
:')
Pretty soon they both slip back into their jammies and decide it's time to relax. They finally get to watch the Spongebob dvd, and enjoy the holidays.
:)
You can download a zip file containing everything in the set(top, pants, slippers, hat, clutter) here. Thanks for reading!
Hope you're enjoying your holiday season so far! ;)
